Doesn’t project treble and project mainline mean all Android phones will keep getting important driver and Google play services updates for years, we’ll past their official support? iPhones only get officially updated for so long because their updates for everything come all at once. iOS update system isn’t modular and doesn’t silently update in the background like Android does with the Play store driver/GPS updates.

It’s way slower with newest iOS and there’s barely any changes compare to previ… morei can confirm Samsung is doing the same, is trick they to make you buy new unit.. i have still A3 2017, when i got the last security patch back in January 2021, final patch for that phone. After the restart the phone become so sluggish, and at beginning you have to wait 2-3 minutes before you can use the phone as it should be, even after that, isn’t very shiny.. but at at least you can do the basics on it… and no i haven’t nothing installed on it, in fact after i bought the newer phone, i removed apps, i thought is going to be faster.. but is still the same, and before that last final patch, the phone was just running fine, wasn’t that slow.. also Samsung is well known for doing the same

ozone, 5 hours agosorry, it is really old because of poor sw support, it has only Android 10 with One UI 2.5 LOLYeah, if its running Android 10 with OneUI 2.5, it’s not really receiving updates. It might receive a security patch four times per year, but that’s just a token gesture.
I don’t like Xiaomi, but at least it tends to provide the latest version of MIUI to its phones, despite not upgrading Android.

my s9 may be the only 2018 flagship that received major android updates for 30 months and security updates for 48 months. s10 is still the only 2019 flagship running android12 as of today. sw support even extended to 60 months by 2021 flagships. quite an example for all other android manufacturers.
